Silicon Valley Community Foundation Scholarship Committee
Mountain View, CA – 1Q 2014

CCCF was pleased to support Dr. Connie Dominguez as she was honored to be invited to speak twice in one month to the Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s Scholarship Committee. At each session, Dr. Dominguez spoke about the process of reviewing scholarship applications, including what and how personal statements, reference letters and academic transcripts are evaluated, weighted and scored in the application process. She also discussed the FAFSA with regards to the Dream Act, and other unusual circumstances that aren’t considered when the Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) is calculated or when financial aid is determined that can be covered by private scholarships.

Dr. Dominguez is such a pleasure to have as partnership. She never fails to provide great opportunities for students to strive for greatness. It was my pleasure to support her in her work with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation’s Scholarship Committee,” said Ishwinder Judge, President of Consumer Credit Counseling Foundation.
