Silicon Valley Community Foundation Regional Meeting: A Dialogue on Giving
San Mateo, CA - October 1st, 2013

On October 1st, 2013 CCCF will attend the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) Regional Meeting: “A Dialogue on Giving.” This meeting will feature a panel of philanthropists and nonprofit leaders engaging in a discussion about the challenges that currently face donors and grant-seekers. The experience of giving today is different than it has been in the past, due to a changed economy and more competition among an increased numbers of nonprofit organizations. Bearing these challenges in mind, SVCF approaches giving with five, key grant-making strategies. The key strategies are: Economic Security, Education, Immigrant Integration, Regional Planning, and a Community Opportunity Fund for time, sensitive community needs. CCCF looks forward to participating in SVCF’s “Dialogue on Giving.”

Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) provides professional investment management of funds entrusted to them by individuals and corporate donors. Unlike financial management companies, SVCF offers expert guidance on the art and science of giving. They use their expertise to make giving easy and effective, helping donors achieve their philanthropic goals whether local, national, or international.
