CCCF was part of an AC-OCAP monitoring team site visit to Covenant House California in Oakland. Covenant House California (CHC) is a non-profit agency whose mission is to reach out to at-risk homeless youth living on the streets, and offer them opportunities to turn their lives around.
The Oakland location is a residential facility providing food, clothing, and shelter. Participants in CHC’s program go through a three level system, that helps them transition to supporting themselves and living independently. CCCF is committed to fighting poverty, especially in our community. Organizations like CHC embody the spirit of community improvement through action and education.
As a local nonprofit credit counseling agency that also offers free financial education seminars, CCCF is a valuable resource. Consumer Credit Counseling Foundation is a 501(c)3 tax-exempt non-profit agency with offices in Livermore, California. Founded in 2002 by Ishwinder Judge, our mission is to provide free counseling on budgeting, the wise use of credit, and other financial topics to our clients nationwide and especially in the nine-county Bay Area. We also aim to provide low-cost debt management services to those who need it. We are members of the American Independent Consumer Credit Counseling Association (AICCCA) and meet AICCCCA’s rigorous standards of ethics and operational excellence.
