Financial Scams and Fraud Seminar
Livermore, CA – May 13, 2014

On May 13th, Consumer Credit Counseling Foundation gave a presentation in English and Spanish at Stoney Creek Apartments about Financial Scams & Fraud. Stoney Creek is a low-income, section 8 housing complex with 50% of its residents identifying as Latino. This seminar was put on by a partnership between Tri Valley Housing opportunity Center, Horizons, Livermore Rotary, and the City of Livermore.

Ishwinder Judge, of CCCF had this to say: “Outreaching to specific populations of people in our community and focusing on their specific needs is very important for progress to occur. That is why we are very pleased to be able to provide bilingual courses to our community members, so that financial education can be accessed by all.”
